Youth on Course

Your membership in LCJGT includes free membership in the Golf Association of Philadelphia's (GAP) Youth on Course program. The program offers significant greens fees discounts for juniors and includes a free GHIN handicap and other benefits. Use this link to sign up for the program for 2023. Use the password LCJGT2023 when you register. You should not be charged a fee when you register. Below is additional information about the Youth on Course program.

Youth on Course brings affordable course access to youth golfers throughout the GAP region. Youth golfers ages 6 to 18 can play at participating facilities for $5 or less per round. The program gives members access to participating facilities throughout the GAP region as well as nearly 2,000 courses across the country.

When juniors join Youth on Course, they will also be granted a GAP membership. Benefits of this membership include:

* GAP/USGA GHIN Handicap
* Access to GAP tournaments
* One-year subscription to the GAP Magazine

Handicaps expire automatically on December 31 each year. If you are eligible and planning to play in LCJGT events in the new year, you can reactivate your handicap by registering for Youth on Course. We will email the link and instructions to register early each year.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Are there restrictions for playing?

Some course may set restrictions for when Youth on Course members can play for $5 or less. Check the course directory for course availability and policies.

2. Do you pay for range balls and cart fees?
Carts and range balls are not included in a Youth on Course round. Use of carts is strictly at the discretion of the course. We encourage members to walk.

3. How long does my membership last?
Memberships last for the current calendar year ending on December 31.

4. How do I get my membership card?
Download the Youth on Course App to keep a digital card on your phone.

5. How do I play for $5 or less?
After registering for Youth on Course, you will receive an email with your membership number. Use that number to log in to the Youth on Course App. Present your membership information with the App or GHIN number when you go to play during available Youth on Course times.

6. When will I get my membership number?
After you sign up, you will receive an email with your member number and a link to the online curriculum. If you already have a GHIN Number from another club, be sure to sign up with that to avoid being assigned a new GHIN number.

7. What do I do with my membership number?
Having an active membership number means you have paid for the year and are able to play for $5 or less at Youth on Course facilities. Your number can also be used to establish an official USGA Handicap Index to track your progress and compete in tournaments.

8. Do I have to take a curriculum?
Yes. After joining the first time you will need to complete the online curriculum to activate your membership number. You will get a link to the curriculum after joining via email and it takes about 15 minutes to complete.
