Junior War of the Rose at Hershey Country Club

Sponsored in 2023 by Viocity Group

Since 2004, the last event of the season has been a match play event for the best players in the top divisions. The Junior War of the Rose will pit the best players from the Boys Gold Division and the Girls Gold Division against each other in a Ryder Cup style match play format. The players will form two teams and play to win points for their team.

The event will consist of 3 matches for each player.

Morning - 9 hole Fourball match (Better Ball of Partners)

Morning – 9 hole Foursomes match (Partners Alternate shot)

Afternoon – 9 hole Individual match

Event Field: Each team will include 8 Boys Gold and 2 Girls Gold players.

Eligibility: To be eligible to play on the Junior War team, players must have completed at least one event in the Gold Division and must have completed at least 5 LCJGT tournaments. They must be in good standing with the Tour following the Tour Championship.

Field Determination: Players will be invited to participate in the Junior War of the Rose based on scoring average in the Gold Division following the LCJGT Tour Championship. Invitations will be made starting with the lowest scoring average in each division. If any of the players with the best scoring averages decline the invitation, we will invite additional players using the same criteria.

Team Selection: Once the field is set, the Junior War Committee will select the players to play on each team with the goal of creating two evenly matched teams for a highly competitive event.

A meal will be provided following the event and awards will be given to the winning team.
