The LCJGT
is open to boys and girls who are residents of Lancaster or Lebanon
County, ages 9 and over, and still enrolled in school. High
school graduates are not eligible. All golfers will be required
to attend a 90 minute rules clinic on either May 31 (6:30, Eden
Resort, Lancaster) or June 5 (6:30, Eden Resort, Lancaster) to be
eligible for tournament play. A Rules Test will be administered
at these clinics.
There will be a total of 5 Divisions (4 for boys and 1 for girls).
At any of the events, a division may
be eliminated if there are not enough sign-ups.
- Senior Boys Division – ages 16 to 18 (18 holes from
back tees)
- Junior Boys Division – ages 13 to 15 (18 holes from
middle tees)
- Junior-Junior Boys Division – ages 11 to 12 (9 or 18
holes from forward tees)**
- Boys 9-10 Division – ages 9 to 10 (9 holes from forward
tees)
- Girls Division – ages 9 to 18 (ages 9 to 10 = 9 holes;
ages 11 to 12 = 9 or 18 holes**;
ages 13 to 18 = 18 holes from forward tees)**
**Golfers in the Junior-Junior Boys Division and Girls Division
(ages 11-12)
may request to play 18 holes. To qualify for 18 holes, they must
be able to break
55 for a 9 hole score played during a regularly scheduled tour
event. Once a player “plays-up” they may not go back
to nine holes. Requests and questions should be
directed to the Tour Director.
Participants may request to “play up” after competing
in their original division for
one tournament. Requests should be made to the Tour Director.
Once a player
“plays up”, they may not go back to their original
division.
Age divisions will be determined and set by the date of the LCJGT’s
first event.
LCJGT Championship Qualification: Points
are awarded at the conclusion of
each event in the order of finish as follows: 1st place=
16 points; 2nd place=
10 points; 3rd place=9 points; 4th place=8 points; places 5 through
19 will receive
7, 6, 6, 5, 5, 4, 4, 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2 points respectively,
all finishes in 20th place
and beyond will receive one point each. The top point earners
in each age group (excluding nine hole golfers)will be invited
to play in a championship final at
season’s end.
Overall age group champions and top finishers will be awarded
prizes based on
a season long accumulation of points. Points earned in the championship
final
will be doubled. In rare circumstances, the Board of Directors
reserved the right to
award age group champion status, or other awards, to a participant
who has
accumulated something less than the highest points total.
A top 3 finish in any Senior or Junior Boy’s division event
will automatically
Qualify that golfer for the championship. A golfer must play in
a minimum of
3 events in order to qualify for the season ending tour championship.
Nine hole
golfers will not play in the championship.
Parental Membership: Only junior golfers
of members of the Lancaster County
Junior Golf Tour are entitled to participate in our tour events.
